This will show you how to add a link to the sitemap in the Admin Panel in case you want to run the sitemap manually. There are many reasons to run the sitemap manually, such as when first submitting your site to Google Sitemaps or other similar services or after you have made major changes to the site and do not want to wait for cron to update the sitemap (if you have that enabled).

This will work in version 5.4 and will work in earlier versions, but the line number may be different.

One of the things that IndexU is sorely missing is a link to go back to the file you were just working on when editing templates. This quick addition to the code will solve that issue in v5.4. It will work in previous version as well, but the line number may be different.

Have you ever wanted to build your own database using excel so you can import it into your IndexU?

With this Excel file you can now build your data using the examples and headers shown.

How to use

Once your categories and links are complete in the Excel file save the excel file. Never forget to save first or you could lose all your changes.

Now choose either your links or categories sheet and go to File - Save As and choose Tab delimited database. You may receive a notice that Excel can only save the current sheet and that’s fine, that’s all that you want.

Now choose the other sheet and save the same way as above with a different name.

Now open each file in your favorite text editor and remove the header data.

NOTE - Failure to remove the header data WILL cause problems with your database and will create empty or incorrect categories and links.

After the header data has been removed you can now import normally through the IndexU Admin Panel.

Current Version 1.02 released for IndexU 5.4. The IndexU Invoice System should work with any 5.x version of IndexU but it has not been tested.

This addon will allow users to view and print an invoice as a method of upgrading their link. This link upgrade can be done after a link is added to the directory or at the time of adding a new link. In the case of adding a new link the link will be suspended until such point in time as payment is received. Then the admin will validate the link and unsuspend it. This addon even includes the ability to charges taxes! The only files you need to edit are upgrade_form.html (part of IndexU) and invoice.include.php (included within this archive).

Current Version 1.00 released for IndexU 5.40. The Category Specific Block Mod should work with any 5.x version of IndexU but it has not been tested on any other version not stated here.

Until now, all blocks were considered global, that is, text in a block stays the same no matter where on the site you are. This addon/mod will allow users to have specific text in a block depending on what category a user is viewing. This can be a great addition for selling category specific advertising, privately entered sponsored links or anything else you can think of that may be shown that is specific to each category.

This mod works both with and without mod_rewrite.

While this addon/mod does require a lot of user input, it also allows for default text to be displayed in case any category is not specifically entered.

IndexU InternetSecure Payment Module

This is the readme file for the IndexU InternetSecure Payment Module written by Bruce Peresky (http://www.avtronics.net).

Current Version 1.00 released for IndexU 5.40. The IndexU InternetSecure Payment Module should work with any 5.x version of IndexU but it has not been tested on any other version not stated here.

This addon will allow users to pay for upgrading their link via the InternetSecure MerchantLink. This link upgrade can be done after a link is added to the directory or at the time of adding a new link. In the case of adding a new link the link will be suspended until such point in time as payment is received. Then the admin will validate the link and unsuspend it.

Since this payment method uses the MerchantLink system it does not require you to add products to the InternetSecure site. This module simply sends a product code of 999 as default and will work will any dollar amount set in your IndexU. If you are a large merchant and you happen to have a product that uses 999 already then change 999 to any arbitrary number that you are not using (perhaps 999999).

The only files you need to edit are upgrade_form.html (part of IndexU) and internetsecure.include.php (included within this archive).

Run your IndexU site as a Rockler Woodworking affiliate! All of their products are currently in this database. This database is formatted for IndexU and no modifications are necessary to import them and get your site up and running and making money.

6 Categories with 3504 Links

Files are in csv (tab delimited text) for import.

Note that links and categories start at 1, so if you already have an existing database these may need to be changed. For new sites nothing needs to be done but import them.

NOTE - You MUST notify me of your Rockler affiliateID before the files are sent to you otherwise you will not get credit for any sales.
